Why Shringar
Matters
Gopal Bhatt Goswami carried only a Shaligram — a sacred stone — as his deity. His heart ached. He longed, with every breath, to dress his beloved in beautiful clothes, to adorn him with jewels, to offer the full love of shringar. His longing was so pure, so absolute, that one morning the Shaligram transformed — and Radharaman appeared, dressed, adorned, alive. God manifested so that His devotee's love could be fulfilled.
This is the bhav — the devotional feeling — that lives inside every outfit Madhuram Divine Designs creates. We do not make clothing. We fulfill longing. Every stitch is a prayer. Every colour chosen is an offering. When you dress your deity in a poshak from Madhuram, you are participating in a tradition of love that stretches back through centuries of devotees who knew: the deity smiles when adorned with care.
"Yatha Raja Tatha Praja — as the deity is adorned, so the devotee's heart is filled."
JR — the designer and heart of Madhuram — crochets, stitches, and crafts with this same love. Each piece is made by hand, with intention, as an act of seva. Whether it is a delicate crochet outfit for your Laddu Gopal's winter, or an elaborate velvet poshak for Janmashtami, the love is the same.
